Born and raised in Northwest Haiti, Idalbert has lived in Kansas City for years. He is a graduate of DeVry University. Before founding GHS, Idalbert worked as a Pathfinder at Children’s Mercy Hospital, where he helped patients, families, and visitors find their way and delivered flowers and gifts.
Idalbert teaches Haitian Creole classes at Kansas University, and UMKC’s Communiversity program and serves as the Haiti commissioner for the Ethnic Enrichment Commission – Kansas City. He is also passionate about improving the quality of life and education for Haitians back in his homeland. He looks forward to seeing the organization continue to grow.
