Idalbert Joseph is the founder of Glory House Services and a native Haitian. He began the organization because of his burning desire to help make a difference in the lives of Haitian immigrants in the United States, specifically in Kansas City. He is also passionate about improving the quality of life and education for Haitians back in his homeland. Idalbert worked as a Pathfinder at Children's Mercy Hospital, where he helped patients, families and visitors find their way, and delivered flowers and gifts. His positive attitude and desire to help others can be seen in his involvement with Glory House Services and he looks forward to seeing the organization continue to grow. 

Teresa Scalard began working with the Haitian community in Kansas City since 2006 while she was a student at Rockhurst University.  Her work with Glory House Services consisted mostly of teaching English as a Second Language.  She has since graduated from Rockhurst with B.A.s in French and in History and is now pursuing a Master’s degree in Modern European History at the University of Kansas.  In 2009, she was given the position of Secretary for Glory House Services and has enjoyed working more closely with the board members to expand the organization and improve the quality of life for Haitians in Kansas City and in Haiti. She hopes to travel to Haiti with Glory House Services for the first time this summer.
