About

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Glory House Services is a nonprofit organization that provides services for the Haitian community in Kansas City, Missouri and also works to improve the quality of life and education in Haiti.  GHS does this by training Haitians in a variety of vocational, social, and health related areas with the purpose of helping them succeed and assimilate into American culture. Through education initiatives focusing on computer skills, language classes and other services, GHS serves the community and professional interests of the local Haitian community.

Glory House Services also has active service projects in Haiti. GHS provides disaster relief and donations of food, clothing, and school and medical supplies.  In addition, GHS sponsors teachers in several schools in the Northwestern region of Haiti. Future projects that GHS team members are currently planning include the creation of community centers and construction of container housing. With these projects, GHS seeks to bring rural communities together, facilitate education, and raise general standards of living in Haiti.

Here at Glory House Services, our goals are to become a thriving leader in the community, to serve as a source of empowerment to the people of Haiti in hopes that our achievements will ultimately transcend international boundaries, to respond to human needs by providing permanent solutions through social engagement, educational pursuits and promoting financial freedom, and to be a catalyst bringing people of purpose together by building a healthy, sustainable community where equal opportunities are inherent, where diversity is embraced and celebrated and whereby discrimination in any form is not tolerated.
