Who We Are
Founded by a Haitian-American, Glory House Services is a nonprofit organization that provides services for the Haitian community in Kansas City, Missouri and also works to improve the quality of life and education in Haiti. What We Do One goal of Glory House Services is to inform and train the Haitian community in Kansas City. Glory House Services (GHS) trains Haitians in a variety of vocational, social, and health related areas with the purpose of helping them succeed and assimilate into American culture. Through education initiatives focusing on computer skills, language classes and other services, GHS serves the community and professional interests of the local Haitian community. Glory House Services also has active service projects in Haiti. GHS provides disaster relief and donations of food, clothing, and school and medical supplies. In addition, GHS sponsors teachers in several schools in the Northern region of Haiti. By funding teachers, GHS is able to ensure that children in Haiti can go to school for free. Future projects that GHS team members are currently planning include the creation of community centers and construction of container housing. With these projects, GHS seeks to bring rural communities together, facilitate education, and raise general standards of living in Haiti. |
